Review: Revlon Photoready Liquid Foundation in Natural Beige (005)

First of all, SORRY for the very sentimental post. I just want everyone to know that I am very lucky to have my Mama even for just 14 years. She was the one who taught me about make up. I am actually thinking what if she's alive? Maybe she is all heart with this blogging thing. Haha! :)

Moving on: I celebrated my birthday last April 22. I even posted a wishlist that included some of the things that I want to receive or I was then planning to get for my special day. The REVLON PHOTOREADY FOUNDATION was one of the many things I wished for and was able to get. Actually, my father sent this to me from the US together with the L'oreal Infallible Lipstick which I'll review soon. I remember telling him, "Ikaw na po bahala sa shade (You decide on what shade to get)." Fortunately, he knows my skintone very well. He got me the shade Natural Beige (005).

I was very giddy to saw this as a part of the gifts my father sent me. I was planning to get this myself but I am a little hesitant since I find it pricey (Php 900++). I found about this through Youtube make up gurus. Some were actually raving how this foundation lessens the occurrence of shiny faces in pictures. Also, this will make the face as if it was airbrushed. Say hello to flawless-looking faces in pictures!

Revlon:
Revlon PhotoReady™ Makeup - for poreless, airbrushed skin in any light. Photochromatic pigments bend and reflect light to erase every flaw. Complete, yet undetectable coverage. Soft, luminous finish.

- Oil free
- Fragrance free
- SPF 20
I love its dispenser!

Swatches:

What I like:
  • The dispenser is very hygienic and has a little tendency to spill -- I love that it has a pump.
  • Easy to blend
  • Does not appear cakey
  • Stays long enough -- For me at least, I have normal/dry skin. Only if needed, retouch with powder.
  • Has a semi-matte finish
  • Gives the face a glowing look
  • Does not have a white cast in pictures though it has SPF 20
  • Makes the face look extra flawless -- Others may still need to conceal blemishes.

What I don't like:
  • Maybe a little pricey for some -- In the US, it costs $11-13 depending on the store. Yes, it is expensive for Php900++ but this is worth it!
  • May look too oily for people with oily skin

Will I repurchase?
Definitely!

Notes:
  1. I am not using this as an everyday foundation. I still am using the Ever Bilena one. -- I have to keep this for major occasions.
  2. I find that using my hands make its application easier. I later on blend it with a brush.
  3. I set this with a regular pressed powder though I am thinking of getting the Revlon Photoready Powder Foundation.
  4. I used this on my Dramatic Smokey Eyes tutorial (read here).
