Many would agree with me when I say that retouching make-up could be a hassle especially when you're busy. Lipsticks is one of the easiest to reapply yet I still opt not to because I am just what...lazy! So I wish to have a product that would make my lipcolor last a little longer so I don't need to reapply as often. The common trick is to use a lip liner before putting on lipstick/lipgloss. Lip liners will not just make the lips look fuller and make the color last longer, it will also prevent the lipstick from bleeding.
I only have 2 lip liners to date. One is a retractable nude from Victoria Secret which I seldom use because it breaks easily and the other is a red one from Nichido. I am not a fan of lip liners but if I am to purchase another, it would definitely be a pink one. And then another irresistible offer came knocking. A sale item again from Colour Collection. I sometimes want to get the hell out of E's sight so she won't give a great deal on her items. I just can't resist! The Colour Collection Lip Liner in Rose was only Php79.00 (~$1.50) then, a deal I didn't let pass.
Whenever I hear the word rose, the only shade that comes into my mind is pink. This lip liner may not be the pink I expected it to be but at least it falls under the hue of pink. Old rose, it is!
I sometimes think of wearing lip liners alone. I don't know if this makes sense, but I think lip liners will last longer than regular lipsticks even if I rub my lips together every 3 seconds.
So lip liners may be long-wearing but it'll also make my lips extra dry. Look at the above photo, my lips are actually shedding. So at this very moment, I am ditching the idea of wearing only a lip liner. Admit it...the shade shouts preeeeeeety! :)

Colour Collection says:
Perfectly define your lips by lining it with this long-wearing lip liner. Keeps lipstick or gloss in place and makes it last longer. To use: Start lining your lips at the center of your upper lip. Work from the center to the outer edges of lips, following the contour of your mouth. Follow the same technique for your bottom lip. Use alone or beneath lipstick or gloss.
What I love about it:
- Inexpensive -- I got this for only Php79.00 (~$1.50)!
- Pigmented -- One swipe may be enough unless you are aiming for a bolder shade.
- Smooth to apply -- No tugging of lips needed!
- Pretty shade!
- Last long
- Makes it easy to contour the shape of my lips
- No allergic reaction
- Available through Tupperware dealers.
What I don't like:
- Very drying -- I don't think there is a lip liner that is not drying!
- Limited shades and stock -- Since this was on sale, only few pieces were left and only this shade was available.
- Tupperware dealers are sometimes hard to find.
Will I repurchase?
YES! I have to check the latest brochure to see if there are other shades available.
Notes:
- The on the lips photos were taken without a lip balm. That was to ensure that the color will stick better on my lips.
- If you want to contour your cupid's bow, a lip liner is a great tool to use.
- Filling the lips with a lip liner prior to lipstick application will make the lipstick last longer.
I am starting to fall in love with Colour Collection products! They make great lip products. I still have 3 lipsticks to review so please stay tuned! :)
How I wish that every lipstick shade has its matching lip liner!
