Food is Love: Cafe Lidia

The day I promised myself that I'll eat less was the same day I was dragged to eat at Cafe Lidia!

Last Monday, we ate at Cafe Lidia to check out the most raved restaurant in Marikina! Love your own, babe!

I have heard so much about Cafe Lidia but I never got the chance to try it until that Monday came. It was situated in the middle of a residential street which may be a little tricky when you are a commuter.

 

Despite being somehow hidden in the street, it offers one of the most scrumptious meals my taste buds have experienced. And mind you, there were a LOT of customers regardless of being a weekday. Imagine the situation during the weekend! 

These were what we had. I won't be able to give you the exact prices but I am sure that each won't go higher than Php300.00 per serving.

House Salad

 This was very appetizing for a normal garden fresh salad. The mangoes were heavenly sweet to balance the sourness of the vinaigrette dressing.

Mozzarella Sticks

 The margarita dip made the normal-tasting mozzarella sticks exciting!

Lasagna

 The goodness of the cheese and beef sauce gave us ooohhhh and aaaahhhh!

Pork Belly

 I never got to taste this because it was gone when I was about to. But my cousin said it was good and the serving could fill 2 empty stomachs!

Pasta A La Lidia

One of the house's specialties. I so love this dish! The combination of tuna, anchovies and sun-dried tomatoes was delicioso! I just don't like the bread it came with. Dry!

Cordon Blea

Nothing special with the cordon bleu but the mashed potato sent us to heaven! 

Pizza Henric

 I find the pizzas of Cafe Lidia a bit different. It's super thin! The focus will be more on the toppings and not on the crust.

Garlic and Tri-Cheese Pizza

 The name may sound simple but the taste was so complex that I could not put it into words!

I will definitely go back to Cafe Lidia soon and bring Edge and our friends for them to try the goodness of this place. I just have to focus myself more on losing extra weight to be ready for all the calories the food will be giving me!
