Review: Bobbi Brown Lash Glamour Extreme Lengthening Mascara

Just recently, I received a very good news. It kept me batting my lashes until the day ended. Happiness, indeed! 

And speaking of eyelashes, I know that you know that I have thin and not-so-long lashes, right? I have been always thankful to the makers of false eyelashes because a pair always makes me look flirtatious and sexy. But I am not a pro in putting on a pair. I tend to spend a minimum of 5 minutes just to pop the falsies in one eye, and that is such a pain. An eyelash extension was once an option but I scrapped it after I heard of incidents of eyelashes falling off after a week or so. I wouldn't spend thousands for something that would only last me a week and to think, there are lengthening mascaras in the market that I can easily purchase if I want those extra length.

One of the lengthening mascaras that is receiving raves in the beauty industry is the Bobbi Brown Lash Glamour Extreme Lengthening Mascara. I got mine as part of the loot I won in Phoebe Ann of Bite. Luxe. Snap. Wander.'s Birthday Giveaway. I admit that I never did imagine that I'll get to own 'expensive' makeup like such. Again, thank you Phoebe! :)

At first, the brush may look like the same brush other mascaras have. But looking closely, the length of the bristles differs from the base to the end. It gets smaller as it reaches the tip of the brush which I think is for the inner corners of the eyes. Also, it has wide spaces in between to separate the lashes.

It did not disappoint on giving my eyelashes the length it needs. I just hope it holds the curls, too.

Bobbi Brown Lash Glamour Extreme Lengthening Mascara:

Bobbi's new gold standard for ultra-long, perfectly separated lashes. It's all about how the brush and the formula work together. The bristles interlock with lashes like a zipper, so each individual lash is coated with rich, deep colour from root to tip. It's also curved to lift each hair like an eyelash curler. And since the formula contains elastic ingredients, it stays flexible in between coats and won't flake.

What I LIKE about it:

• I got it for free! -- Thank you, Phoebe and Team E! :)
• It really gives length to my eyelashes -- As you can see in the photo above, there is an obvious added length.
• Appears super black
• Does not clump
• Does not flake
• Separates my eyelashes, making it look defined.
• Looks very natural
• Easy to remove, even with water. -- This particular mascara is not waterproof, by the way.

What I DON'T LIKE about it:

• It may be too expensive for a mascara
• It smudges after some time.
• Does not hold the curls!

Will I repurchase?

Given the price, NO, I won't. I am in love with Maybelline mascaras, work great at affordable prices!

Notes:

1. I am currently using this mascara and it's now a part of makeup bag. I just check for possible smearing and smudging often.
2. Even a tiny amount of water can cause smearing.
3. Bobbi Brown products are available at Bobbi Brown counters in Rustan's.

It lengthens but it would be much better if it gives volume and holds curls. I am still going for Maybelline mascaras for the needs of my eyelashes! :)
