Happy new year!
Can you believe that 2011 has only hours left? Time flies, indeed! I am so thankful for everything that 2011 had given me and I am hoping that 2012 will be as good. But before we all bid farewell to 2011, let me share to you the look I wore on Christmas.
Glam was the imposed theme of 'my' Christmas. I paired the shimmery eye makeup with sexy red lips. The look may scream 'holidays!' but I am sure it will look good in any occasion. This was only a 'redo' of the actual look. The same products were used and the same procedures were done.
START:
1. Apply foundation. -- Do not conceal the undereyes yet. Do it after the eye makeup is done to get rid of possible fall outs.
2. Redefine eyebrows.
3. Prime the eyelids. Blend. -- I used a shimmery eyeshadow primer as preparation for all the shimmers of the eye makeup.
4. Apply a brown cream eyeshadow all over the lids. Blend away the edges. -- Cream eyeshadow will serve as a base for the powder eyeshadows.
5. With an eyeshadow that is slightly darker than your skin tone, define the crease area.
6. Define the eye socket with a dark brown eyeshadow. Blend towards the eyelid.
7. Apply a dark violet eyeshadow on the outer v.
8. Carefully apply a shimmery bronze eyeshadow on the remaining space on the eyelid. Blend until no harsh line is seen in between the bronze and dark brown eyeshadow.
9. Line the outer half of the lower lash line with the same dark violet eyeshadow.
10. With the same shimmery bronze eyeshadow, line the inner half of the lower lash line.
11. Highlight brow bones and inner tearducts. --Don't be afraid of all the shimmers!
12. Thinly line the eyes and the waterline with a black eyeliner.
13. Curl lashes and apply mascara. You may apply false lashes if you want!
14. Conceal undereye circles and set everything with a powder foundation.
16. Contour cheekbones, temples, and nose area.
17. Apply a light pink blush on the apples of the cheeks. Highlight the top of the cheekbones and the nose bridge.
18. Finish the look with a red lipstick of your choice.
