NEW and IMPROVED | Maybelline Clear Smooth All In One Shine Free Cake Powder

Remember this post? It was when I ended my love for Maybelline Clear Smooth All In One Shine Free Cake Powder (review HERE) because it cracked before I hit pan without any reason at all. I though the incident that happened to my foundation was an isolated case but I was overwhelmed with the number of comments that I got from that post saying that your items experienced the same too. It was when I realized there is really a problem with that Maybelline product.

Some months ago, I received an email from Maybelline saying that the cracking incident is caused by a faulty packaging and has nothing to do with the product itself. They also said that they have solved the problem about the packaging, hence, the claim of the new releases as the NEW and IMPROVED ones. Alongside it, they offered to send me a sample for me to test out.

Just days after that exchanges of emails, I received the NEW and IMPROVED (caps lock needed) Maybelline Clear Smooth All In One Shine Free Cake Powder.

Honestly, I noticed no difference in the packaging that's why I was a bit hesitant on sharing the news to others. The performance of the product didn't change though,  it is as good as the old one. I gave this new one a try to see if it won't break, as Maybelline claims. After months of use, I am about to hit pan again and the worries start to kick in. 

It was then I realized, there is NO NEED to worry! The issue was really resolved! The powder did not crack (It was about the same time, the old one cracked on me.) and is nowhere near cracking!

So if you loved the Maybelline Clear Smooth All In One Shine Free Cake Powder, it is about time to give it one more chance! Love is lovelier the second time around, right? :)
