If I would choose only 2 neutral eyeshadow colors to play with for the rest of my makeup life, that would be a shimmering pink and a medium brown. I love how these two colors match perfectly and give me the neutral eye makeup look I want. I have a number of palettes with those two colors but when I was given the Elizabeth Arden Eyeshadow Duo in Pink Clover as a gift, I still felt ecstatic. Come on, it has the colors that I want in a much more compact packaging!
If you look at the Elizabeth Arden Color Intrigue Eyeshadow Duo in Pink Clover in the Elizabeth Arden's website, the packaging has changed. Now, the colors are in a square pan compared to the circular pans that I have. Nevertheless, everything looks very similar.
It comes with a mirror and a sponge applicator. Throw away the applicator, I tell you. Frankly, it's useless.
Two complementary shades to wear together or alone for the ideal look. Rich, true colour that lasts all day.
The pink shade in the duo is light enough to brighten the eye area while the brown shade is perfect for crease definition. Both give decent pigmentation even without a primer underneath. Given that I have not-so-oily lids, the colors stay for long hours too.
It is so easy to use these kinds colors without the fear of it looking muddy. Just swipe the pink shade all over the lids then contour the crease with the brown one and you're good to go.
Since it is from Elizabeth Arden, expect that it is pricey. In my opinion, it is not practical to shell out a fortune for this eyeshadow duo but I insist on you getting something similar to these shades. These are perfect for the I-am-on-a-hurry kind of makeup look. As for me, I am very happy to be given a compact with these two colors. This duo is now a permanent resident in my everyday makeup kit!
