Shopee Beauty Affair with Albert Kurniawan

Shopee was just officially launched December last year but it has taken over the beauty market like storm. A mobile-firstsocial marketplace, Shopee allows everyone to browse, shop, and sell through an accessible interface.

What sets Shopee different from other online shops is its more personalized shopping experience where buyers get to discover products that suit their interest through hashtags, curated collections and popular products feature. Just a few weeks ago, Shopee hosted a beauty meet-up called Shopee Beauty Affair at Dilingers, Greenbelt 3. The event was an opportunity for beauty enthusiasts to get to know Shopee more and to bond with fellow beauty enthusiasts and some Shopee sellers over food, beauty products and fun activities.

Not only that, celebrity makeup artist graced the event to conduct a makeup workshop on creating a Day-to-Night look and share tips on how to shop for makeup online.

"Beauty enthusiasts are different from other enthusiasts because they look to expert opinions and peer reviews before buying anything online,"Albert Kurniawan loves how Shopee opens a platform where buyers can read reviews of products and sellers before actually purchasing.

Some Shopee sellers like Kering Keri Store were at the event to showcase some of their products and to simulate how fast and easy transactions are through Shopee. Purchases that night were transacted through the app to further explain how it works.

Shopee loves to connect with its users beyond the app so expect more of this kind of event in the future. As for me, that event introduced me to a shop that I will get addicted to, for sure!
